Get started

Live in three steps

You can try everything on testnet first — the free tier defaults to a public facilitator on Base Sepolia and Solana Devnet, so no real funds are needed to test the flow.

  1. Install the plugin

    Download the free plugin, then in your WordPress admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, install and activate.

    The download and WordPress.org listing go live at launch — the buttons above enable automatically once their URLs are set in src/config.ts.

  2. Configure a wallet & network

    Open x402 Paywall → Settings. Paste the wallet address that should receive USDC, then pick a network. Free supports one network at a time; Pro can offer all three simultaneously.

    • Base — recommended — sub-cent fees
    • Solana — fast, low fee

    Testnet default for trying things out: Base Sepolia and Solana Devnet via the free public facilitator.

  3. Add a paywall

    Edit any post or page, set a price, and publish to lock the whole thing. To lock only part of an article, wrap the protected span:

    That's it — unpaid visitors get the teaser plus a pay-with-USDC prompt; the locked body never reaches their browser.
